I can only be grateful that my family wasn't affected by the devastating flooding of the Susquehanna River throughout New York and Pennsylvania, but I do have to say it made for an awful drive. I think eight hours is long enough for Belle and I but stretching that to ten or eleven hours is just too much! We took a different route hoping to avoid the flooding and make our usual time but we had no such luck. Belle was a trooper though and didn't fuss one bit of the way :)
C and B A Simple Life
A little glimpse into our lives.
Welcome to C and B A Simple Life
My name is Cheryl. I have a beautiful daughter, Belle. Our lives are simple but wonderful. We've been blessed with wonderful family and friends. Since we don't get to see them all of the time C and B A Simple Life seemed like a good way to keep them in the loop.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Dirty Good Time
A few months ago I was on Facebook and a friend of mine, Brooke, posted about the Dirty Girl Mud Run in South Wales, NY. I couldn't help but want to know more. So I asked her about it and checked out the website, godirtygirl.com. I quickly learned it is a military inspired obstacle course 5k. With everything from a wall climb to a mud pit. And to make things better a portion of all proceeds go towards breast cancer research, awareness and education. I definitely wanted to be a part of it all! So on Saturday I met up with Brooke and the rest of our team, The Mud Mamas at the Allegany-Limestone High School. We made our way up to South Wales and were ready to have a blast! I don't think anyone could be in that atmosphere without feeling pumped! I have to admit I was a bit intimidated at first. I'm not exactly "in shape" so I was a bit worried about being able to keep up with my team and make it through all of the obstacles, but once we started all of those thoughts disapeared. And when we made it to the end, I was bummed that it was over. I've never been so happy to be so filthy and do it for a good cause!

A Rough Ride Home
On Friday B and I started home. We left around 11:30 in the morning. It usually takes us eight hours, this time it took around ten! My heart goes out to all that were affected by the Susquehanna River flooding. What a devastating mess! It was flooded for a decent portion of our ride. We were kicked off I86 and couldn't get back on until Horseheads! We finally made it home and I'm thankful my mom was up and wanted to take care of my B for the night. I was exhausted and when B sleeps in the car, especially as long as she did, she will not sleep at night!

Nothing Beats a Girly Day of Shopping with My B
The hardest part of shopping since I've had her is trying not to buy her everything! Girls are way too easy to shop for. Although I enjoy buying the cute clothes and adorable shoes my favorite part of a shopping trip with Belle is watching her take in the environment around her. I love her reactions to different people and the noise that comes along with being in the children's section of a busy store. Most of the time she takes everything in stride, I am definitely one of the lucky parents.
Which one would you like?
Both :)
